The Disposal Services Authority, the leading organisation in the UK for disposal services to the public sector has chosen to secure their website using the Celo two factor product developed by Commerce Media Limited.Instead of using tokens or smart cards to authenticate users the Celo solution will authenticate authorised users attempting to log into the system. Users who wish to log into the Intershop solution to administer their area simply enter their user name and password. They are then automatically sent a one time password to their registered device, which has a limited life. Once authenticated they are then logged into the application as normal.

The DSA expects to make considerable savings by moving from a taken based two factor solution to Celo. Previously the deployment, management and administration of the tokens throughout the user base was a major overhead in terms of both time and money.
